Natural Science Illustration for Kids

Join Scientific Illustrator Christine Elder for a fun-filled day of art activities. Participants will learn about the materials and techniques used in illustrations like those on exhibit for the Museum’s Art of Nature exhibit. Students will be provided with a variety of natural objects, and will receive instruction and lessons in drawing techniques not otherwise taught in formal art programs including: methods for creating realistic drawings, quick sketching techniques for capturing shapes, forms, texture, and mood, and ways to think more creatively. Open to ages 10-14.
