Docent Training

Museum docents are volunteer tour guides, trained by musuem staff to lead our school programs. Docents introduce students to Ohlone culture and history, local animals and habitats, and Neary Lagoon, a local wetland habitat.

No previous experience is necessary to become a museum docent. All you need is a desire to learn about the natural world, a wilingness to share your knowledge with others, and some free time during the week to attend training sessions and to lead tours.
