The Museum Needs You!
We invite you to become an involved member of the Museum family. We offer a variety of opportunities to fit almost any schedule. Look over some of the descriptions below. Become a Docent
Docents are trained volunteers who provide special programs on specific topics for school children and other groups visiting the Museum. No previous experience is needed to become a docent; training will provide you both the information and the skills to guide these special field trips. All you need is a desire to learn about the natural world, a willingness to share what you know with others and some free time during the week to attend training sessions and conduct programs. Please note that all docents working with children are required to be fingerprinted. The Museum will assist you with the process during the course of your training.

Volunteer at Special Events
The Museuem needs volunteers at special events such as the Fungus Fair and the members-only reception for the annual Illustrating Nature exhibit.. Short time commitment, big enjoyment factor!
