Great Resources for Teachers

Bring Your Classroom
to the Museum

Docent Guided Programs: Unique educational experiences led by trained volunteer docents include museum specimens and artifacts, games, stories and activities.

Teacher Guided Programs: Plan and lead your own class explorations through the Museum.  We provide you with classroom activities and suggestions for your visit.

Due to the size of the Museum all groups must have a reservation to visit the Museum, even if it is just a casual visit.

Our education kits bring real artifacts to touch, and teaching resources such as posters, charts, books and materials for photocopy to use in the classroom.  Mounted specimens and slide shows add exciting dimensions to classroom learning.

Explore the Outdoors:

Neary Lagoon Wetlands Walk for 3rd - 4th Graders

Connect with a local wetland through activities and experiences illustrating wetland ecosystems and the importance of wetlands for wildlife and people.

SELF-GUIDED TOURS

Schedule a self-guided tour of the Museum by calling us at (831) 420-6115 Tuesday through Friday, 10am - 5pm. Due to the size of the Museum all groups must have a reservation.
