Movies at the Museum: Weird Science Series

Enjoy classic entertainment and learn something too! Movies at the Museum is a new film series at the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History occurring on the second Friday of every month. From September to December, the series will focus on Weird Science.

A sci-fi /horror film will be screened, preceded by a short, informal talk about the strange, real-life facts behind the fiction.  Doors open at 7:30pm. Talk and screening begin at 8pm. Popcorn, beer, wine, and other refreshments available for sale. $5-$10 donation suggested at the door.

Speaker: Mike Rugg from the Felton Bigfoot Discovery Museum

This film is of the ‘found footage’ variety. Norwegian students set out to prove the existence of trolls, and discover much more than they bargained for. In Norwegian with English subtitles. We will hear a bit about the local search for Bigfoot in our own Santa Cruz Mountains.
